Bourbon vanilla

Vanilla is a plant native to Mexico. The best quality is the Bourbon variety. The fruit of this plant is a dark pod between 15 and 20 cm inside which there are very small and numerous black seeds, responsible for this very pleasant scent and flavor. Already the Aztecs used it to flavor chocolate and with this sole purpose it was used until the 19th century, also because the price was always very high.
 Today, although it continues to be high, it is an obligatory ingredient in quality pastry shops for creams, ice cream biscuits and sweets in general. Lately, many chefs use it in savory dishes. In cocktails just remember that it gives a touch of uniqueness to daiquiri.
