I am Assunta and like my father I was born in Capri. My great-grandmother created one of the first bathing establishments next to the moray pool built in Palazzo a Mare for the pleasure of Emperor Tiberius. When my father moved to Ischia, to distinguish me from the other Assunta, they began to call me Assuntina di Capri.

 

I grew up with the smells and flavors of the island. For 25 years in a cave flooded by the sea reflected light, I have been making liqueurs. I only use herbs, spices, mineral water, Kosher alcohol and my memories.
