Pepe Selim from Senegal Infusion

It belongs to the Magnolia and has berries similar to legumes. It is decidedly aromatic and bitter reminiscent of Cubeb pepper and Nutmeg. The flavor is given by the pods.
 
 It goes well with fish and poultry, especially grilled. It is enhanced with bechamel and mashed potatoes. Try it on fruit.
 
It is actually not a real pepper.
